waiting beneath the sheets
are tangled smells of you -
i cling to them
like i'm speaking french
to the synethic fibers,
delicate stitches
the deep canvas of black
like the upholstery of your
vintage flint car.

sweet
moments filled to the brim
of our wine glasses
gathering dust in the back
of the cabinet;
i smile and recall
that old 30's style
champagne gown

you hunted down for me

that you held your breath
your heart beating in tune
to mine -
and even though your side is
still luke-warm, i can feel
you in every strand of my hair
every cell of my skin
and underneath still.

free
my restless green spirit
trapped beneath the
oppressing fingers of sunlight,
she who captures me in her
golden majesty and limits me
to her selfish settings.

listen
my parted pink lips
and your straining ears
to the song the night gave me
his cloaking, adapting ways
seduces the wild, child in
me.

and be free
of my sienna gaze.

written for mi hermana, vibrant.

Welcome to my poetry blog; i will be updating when i am able to, and you may add your comments, because they are highly appreciated. when i write my poetry, i tend to make it relate to everyone, however usually it is highly metaphoric, and it is supposed to be determined by you. so if you find you really can't understand it, take a breath, open your mind, and read the words aloud. the words tend to sound different from your mouth, and they are no longer stuck on the taste buds of your tongue. they are savored.

    .::adsaige::.

I tend to re-invent myself because I typically shed a different layer and skin in order to get closer to the person that I am. I can not honestly say that I found myself, or that I have ever lost who I am, but this is all about my self-discovery, and that hopefully along the way, I can also help others.

adsaige is a name i made up that i want to grow into, as i want to grow into my name. i am taking no prisoners, asking questions, or hesitating on being myself. take this journey with me, and see what you discover about yourself.
